Scripture: Matthew 25:23
His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’
I picked this verse before I realized the date. Matthew 25:23 on July 23, 2025! The spirit was certainly guiding me this morning.
At the end of my time on earth, all I long to hear as I enter the gates of Heaven is "Well done, my good and faithful servant!" It’s not about accolades, titles, or recognition. It’s about faithfulness—quiet, consistent, often unseen.
To trust God is to walk in obedience even when the path is unclear. It’s giving more than we receive, not because we expect a return, but because we know who our Provider is. It’s choosing to serve without applause, to love without condition, and to plant seeds of faith in others—even if we never see them bloom.
Jesus reminds us that the Kingdom of Heaven values faithfulness over fame. The servant in Matthew 25 wasn’t praised for how much he gained, but for how he stewarded what he was given. Likewise, we are called to be faithful with our time, our talents, and our testimony.
Sometimes, the seeds we plant—through a kind word, a generous act, or a quiet prayer—may never be known to us. But God sees. And in His perfect timing, those seeds can grow into life-changing encounters with Jesus for someone else.
Prayer
Here I am, Lord. Send me. I know what I am saying as I pray these words, oh God. Speak to me all day long and help me hear where you are sending me and what you need me to do. I trust you. Remind me that I need to give big and know you will provide. Forgive me when I hear you and dismiss you, and even when I fail to hear you at all through all of my own clutter. Use me as your vessel to plant seeds that allow for your kingdom work, even when I have no idea what the seeds will harvest. I need you, I love you, and I thank you. Guide my every step, my every thought, and my every word. Please be with my family. Please be with those who are broken hearted or suffering and help them feel your love and hope. I pray everything in your most Holy and Precious name, Amen.
